Adding Driver Certifications and Configuring Safety Alerts

 

Overview

Manage your important certificates in Axele for each of your drivers and set up alerts to be notified of any documents that are approaching expiration. This configuration is a two-step process: 1) add driver certificates and 2) configure safety alerts.

Adding Driver Certificates

  1. Go to Assets > Drivers > select the driver > click the Certifications tab (see Image 1 below)
  2. Edit the details and expiration date of each certificate by clicking the checkbox to the left of the name, then the pencil icon (see Image 2 below)

To add a new certificate outside of the preset list, click Add Line Item and fill out the form within the popup window (see Image 3 below).

To remove a certificate, select it by clicking the checkbox to the left of the name, then click the garbage can (see Image 4 below).

Expiration Color Codes

There are different color codes used to differentiate between an expired certificate, a certificate expiring soon, and a certificate that will expire later. These color codes are shown in the table below and are shown to the left of the associated Record Type in Axele.

Expiration Color Codes

Configuring Safety Alerts

  1. Go to Settings > Preferences > click the Safety tab (see Image 5 below)
  2. Update the Show Warning field on each Document Type, which will notify you of the expiration date (see Image 6 below)
  3. Review the Dispatch if Certification Expires field on each Document Type (see Image 7 below) (If Yes, you will be able to dispatch the driver if the associated certificate has expired. If No, you will not be able to dispatch the driver if the associated certificate has expired.)
